ThinSpring
Awarded GSA Schedule 70 Allowing Them to Bid on Government
Contracts
Corona, CA (December
11, 2006) - The General Services Administration (GSA) of
the U.S. Government has awarded MojoCommerce LLC
d/b/a ThinSpring, a leading provider of XML-based solutions
such as SPL Server™ and the FDA's Electronic Labeling
Information Processing System (ELIPS), a GSA Schedule 70
that will allow them to bid on government contracts. ThinSpring
announced the nod of approval this week, and the move gives
government purchasers another vendor option for a wide range
of XML solutions.
"The federal government will contract out over $315
billion worth of goods and services in FY2007," said
Shaun Williams, ThinSpring's Vice President of Operations. "In
2005, the government spent over $33 billion through GSA Schedules.
GSA Schedule spending rose from 7 percent to 31 percent of
total procurement dollars from 1997 through 2002 as well
as a continued increase in GSA Sales to state and local governments
under the Cooperative Purchasing program. We are excited
to take advantage of this new opportunity, as we may now
start working more hand-in-hand with government contractors
to offer complete solutions."
Ron Celeste, ThinSpring's President and CEO, commented, "This
is a milestone for us. With our past experience working with
the Food and Drug Administration on the ELIPS project, ThinSpring
is in a great position to fill many other needs within the
government for XML solutions. As more agencies move towards
structured content management as the standard for managing
their vast amounts of data, ThinSpring plans to be on the
forefront of providing solutions to meet their needs."
ThinSpring's GSA Schedule number is GS-35F-0136T.
GSA Schedule Background
The General Services Administration Schedule is the standard
contract that outlines all terms and conditions between
a contractor and the U.S. Government. The GSA is the purchasing
and management agent of the U.S. Government, while the
Federal Supply Service of the GSA operates the GSA Schedules
program. All agencies of the federal government may use
the GSA schedule contract to fill their requirements.
