ThinSpring Announces The Release of MatriXML™ v3.0

CORONA, CA - (September 10, 2001) - MatriXML is changing how non-technical personnel create and manage complex internal and business-to-business communications using the advantages of XML. Today, we make available the new release of MatriXML, version 3.0.

This new version of MatriXML, adds several new and improved features, including:

  • The ability to call API’s using standard XPATH terminology
  • Multi-language support
  • New Stylesheet functionality, including global element classes formatting, attribute display from within stylesheets, revised create/update/cancel functions, and WYSIWYG capability
  • DTD import and export functions, enhancing third party system integration capabilities.
Copy DTD function, allowing elements of one DTD to be copied any other DTD

"MatriXML allows a business to create XML content (the emerging internet standard) without additional training in the complexities of XML," commented Kevin Stapel, Chief Technology Officer of ThinSpring and lead architect of MatriXML. It is designed for the enterprise operating platforms in use by 90% of corporations. This allows small, medium and large businesses to streamline their internal and external operations by integrating with legacy systems without the financial outlay required to replace their existing IT investments.

This true, thin-client platform is complementary to a company's existing IT infrastructure, delivering an XML infrastructure backbone while requiring only an XML-enabled browser to use the system. In addition, the platform has been built from the ground up to permit FDA-regulated companies to meet stringent Part 11 standards for electronic records and electronic signatures. This compliant architecture will also permit non-FDA-regulated organizations to meet emerging regulatory standards for use of computer systems in e-business by Federal agencies such as the FDA, FAA, SEC, FTC, etc.

"MatriXML allows companies to do for themselves what third-party enterprise integrators are currently doing," said Ron Celeste, President & CEO of ThinSpring. "We see the future of enterprise integration beginning with companies creating the XML-based links enabling direct business-to-anyone transaction automation, and evolving to an extended enterprise integration, consisting of contract negotiation, new product development collaboration, specification management, and other document and data-centric business processes. Only XML makes this possible."
