ThinSpring Releases Version 2.0 of its Online SPL Validation Service
Bridgewater,
NJ (June 1, 2007) - ThinSpring announces a significant
upgrade to its Online SPL Validation service with the immediate
release of Version 2.0. Access to this service allows pharmaceutical
companies to validate their Structured Product Labeling (SPL)
content and view the exact same validation results that the
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) views upon SPL submission.
Highlights of this new version include full support for
the Physician's Labeling Rule (PLR) and improved billing
options for customers. As current users are aware, the Online
SPL Validation Service was developed from the same technology
implemented by the FDA. ThinSpring has taken the SPL validation
portion of SPL Server™ and now offers it as a stand-alone
commercial online service. ThinSpring provides pharmaceutical
companies with the ability to perform their own Tier-1 and
Tier-2 SPL validations regardless of how their SPL were prepared.
In addition to a full validation of your pre-prepared SPL
label, you will gain access to a validation report that the
user may print during their session. The validation report
contains a summary of all the label elements and the details
of every flagged or rejected element. This report can then
be used to help rectify any errors discovered during the
validation process.
"The benefit of the Validator is that the pharmaceutical
company can rest assured that their label won't be 'red flagged'
or 'yellow flagged' by the FDA when they submit," said
S. Brian Suggs, Senior Systems Analyst, and technical lead
for development of ThinSpring's Online SPL validation service. "The
system is similar to using a CPA to review your tax return.
The CPA can let you know if your tax return will be flagged
by the IRS before you send it to them. You can rest assured
that by using ThinSpring's Online SPL Validation service
you will be aware of any errors before you make your submission
to the FDA."
"For companies wanting to shorten their time to market
with drug submissions, this service will give them a low
cost option" said Ron Celeste, CEO of ThinSpring. "With
all of the information that they need to ensure that their
submission is 100% compliant, this acts a catalyst for a
faster drug approval."
Online SPL Validation is available through the ThinSpring
public website at www.thinspring.com. ThinSpring will not
save the SPL files and images that have been used in the
validation process in any form. Register and login today
